“Let the wisdom of the old guide the buoyancy and vitality of the youth; let the buoyancy and vitality of the youth sustain the wisdom of the old.” – Konstantin Stanislavski
A new theater program designed especially for children (ages 8 to 17) is launching in the Los Feliz/ Atwater Village area! Atwater Playhouse Classes are offered twice a week, giving students a full three hours of practice. Students will learn through the renown Stanislavski method, which will prepare them for television, commercial and theater work. This method facilitates learning in a positive, encouraging environment. Children will develop self-confidence and life skills. This unique approach helps children improve interpersonal skills, develop self-esteem and learn how to work well in a group setting. Additionally, parents will be thrilled with the improvement they’ll see in their children’s reading and writing! Instructors JoAnn Wabisca and Nicole Bailey both have many years of teaching experience and focus on helping each child develop his or her full potential.
In addition to basic and advanced acting techniques, students also will gain valuable experience in all aspects of theater production. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn the ropes of the acting field. Space is limited.
