Hollywood Mom Blog is the brainchild of Tracy Bobbitt, the mother of an aspiring child actress herself, who has her finger firmly on the pulse of the entertainment industry as it relates to child actors, their parents and our hectic lives in the glamor capital of the USA.  With a background in writing, film production, design, marketing and as spouse of multi-award-winning Film Maker, Russell Bobbitt, Tracy is more than qualified to helm the tour on your bumpy ride through La La Land.

Even if you don’t live in Hollywood, if you find yourself supporting your child’s passion to perform, YOU my friend are a HOLLYWOOD MOM.

Tracy Bobbitt, Editor-in-Chief, Hollywood Mom Blog

Over the years, working in film production and while working for Sandra Bullock at Fortis, I’ve met many celebrities and a handful I even consider friends.  As the former CEO of Crib Rock® Couture, via selling, gifting and placing, I dressed the kidlets of Movie Stars: Angelina Jolie, Matt Damon, Jennifer Garner & Ben Affleck, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sibi & Christian Bale, Angela Basset; Pop Stars: Gwen Stefani and Britney Spears;  Sports Stars: Gabrielle Reese and Kevin Garnett; and TV personalities Elizabeth Hasselbeck and Angie Harmon.  So many celebrity babies owned Crib Rock, the list reads like a baby boom episode of TMZ.

Now my own child wants to “be a star,” and isn’t taking no for an answer. Accompanying her on auditions, schlepping to acting, dancing and voice classes, acquiring agents and managers, working on set as a “mom” instead of a crew member – all added up to a journey worth documenting – which is the cliff notes version of how the HollywoodMomBlog.com came to be.

When I’m not whisking my kid off to Hollywood or assisting my better half with his Movie World;  I work as editor of the Hollywood Mom Blog, and I am honored to serve on the Actors Fund Advisory Committee for the Looking Ahead Program alongside industry notables including Fred Savage, Melissa Gilbert, and Henry Winkler.
My specialties are Writing/Reporting/Blogging, serving as a Media consultant (via TV appearances & radio interviews), Child Actor Advocacy, Momager Commentary.  Other areas of expertise include: Social media, product placement, marketing, public relations, copywriting, red-carpet and event coverage, celebrity event sponsorship, celeb interviews, guest bloggingtweeting, facebook, and all social media du jour.

Our family contributes to charitable organizations like Casa Pasifica and Hillsides and we enjoy learning about other organizations that assist children in need. Close to our hearts is the Pediatric Epilepsy Program UCLA and Greg Grunberg’s charity  TalkAboutIt.org which features film, TV celebs raising epilepsy awareness and proper first-aid for seizures.
