The mission of Hollywood Mom Blog is to be a positive community, forum, news outlet, information resource and occasional laugh for the parents of professional child performers/child actors, here in Hollywood and around the world.

Hollywood Mom Blog is the brainchild of Tracy Bobbitt, the mother of an aspiring child actor who has her finger firmly on the pulse of the entertainment industry as it relates to child actors and their parents and the hectic lives of today’s moms; the daily balancing act of marriage, motherhood and business in the glamor capital of the USA. With a background in writing, film production, design and marketing and as the spouse of award-winning Film maker, Russell Bobbitt, Tracy is more than qualified to helm the tour bus on your bumpy ride through La La Land.

Even if you don’t live in Hollywood, if you find yourself juggling multiple jobs, events and responsibilities while pursuing your child’s passions and you do it with the facade of glamorous calm, YOU my friend are a HOLLYWOOD MOM.

Over the years, working in film production and while working for Sandra Bullock at Fortis, I’ve met many celebrities and a handful are even friends. As the former CEO of Crib Rock® Couture, via selling, gifting and placing, I dressed the kidlets of Movie Stars: Angelina Jolie, Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Christian Bale, Angela Basset; Pop Stars: Gwen Stefani and Britney Spears; Sports Stars: Gabrielle Reese and Kevin Garnett; and Television personalities like Elizabeth Hasselbeck and Angie Harmon. Literally so many celeb offspring own Crib Rock the list reads like a baby boom episode of TMZ.

Now my own child wants to “be a star,” and quite frankly isn’t taking no for an answer. Accompanying her on auditions, going through the process of acquiring agents, managers, working on set as a “mom” instead of a crew member – it was a journey I believed was worth documenting. This is the condensed version of how the HollywoodMomBlog.com came to be.

When I’m not whisking my daughter off to Hollywood or assisting my better half with his Movie World; I work as editor if the Hollywood Mom Blog, freelance for publications like People.com and act as brand ambassador and blogger correspondent for a number of well-known companies. I also dabble in product placement, celebrity event sponsorship, celebrity interviews, tweeting, facebook and all forms of social media. In the wake of so many recent child actor tragedies, as HMB’s editor I felt it was time to seek the input of professionals to answer some of the unique questions and concerns that we as the parents of child actors have. Cindy, Jody and their team at WCCC are uniquely qualified to tackle these tough issues our children face and will be contributing to HMB several times a year.

In Diana Marcketta’s not-so-distant past she worked as a freelance writer, journalist and television producer for documentary-style reality shows. She has graciously stepped back into the writing arena to cover celebrity events and interviews for HMB. Diana is currently the owner/founder of Jewel1 Entertainment, a full-service Marketing, PR and Production company in the greater Los Angeles area.

Michele Dahl, is the HMB’s Product and Services Reviewer and also contributes to our “Moms in the Trenches” column. She is the mother of pint-sized models Shelby and Cash Dahl. It’s no surprise to us that someone who can pull off a smoking hot bikini shoot while pregnant would pass off those picture perfect genes to her kids. Susan Lowery is a contributor to our “Moms in the Trenches” column and mom of up and coming star Jane Lowery. Working out the Seattle and Vancouver markets for the last 5 years, Jane has recently begun to work in L.A. When not driving up and down the coast on I-5, Susan along with her husband, Travis, operate their own chiropractic clinic, C.H.I.R.O. Health Center, run Janver Natlas (home of the Motr B stroller blanket), and raise their 3 children.

Nicole Hanratty, is a contributing writer and event photographer for HMB. Nicole Hanratty lives in Southern California. She is a wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and every day mom, ie. housekeeper, taxi-driver, personal chef and family social planner.

Christine Norfleet is HMB’s official book reviewer. She has over 24 years of IT and Management experience working in corporate America for a Fortune 500 company, as a Quality Assurance and CMMI specialist. In her personal life Norfleet is a Level 3 Reiki Master, Foundational Theta Healing Practitioner and Angel Certified Practitioner by Charles Virtue. For the last 2 plus years she has been attending a Metaphysical Qabalah work group and Jungian Dream Analysis group. She has attended workshops with Colette Baron-Reid for developing your intuitive skills and Brian Weiss for past life regressions. She is the God Mother of starlet in the making Jordan Bobbitt and the proud Mom of three fur babies: Zoe, Chance and Cowboy.
