Leave it to Mott’s to create the perfect recipe for a luxurious Mother’s Day while delivering meals to children in need and raising awareness of the 36 million Americans who currently live at risk of hunger in our nation. The Wake-up Call Campaign is designed to “wake up” Americans to the prevalence of hunger in our own country. Mott’s is joined in this effort by Emmy-nominated actress Marcia Cross, and the nation’s largest hunger relief organization, Feeding America and together, they will provide one million meals to needy American children and their families this year. Here’s the best part; We can help. Go to Motts.com and send a celebrity wake-up call (from Marcia Cross!) to yourself or a friend, for free.
For each wake-up call placed, Mott’s donates one dollar to Feeding America and that dollar will provide more than seven healthy meals distributed via Feeding America’s network of partner food banks across the United States. “I’m humbled and proud to be working with Mott’s to literally wake up America to the fight against hunger and help people get a healthy start to the day,” said Cross. “As a mother, I am saddened by the number of families who go hungry in our country. I hope people will hear our message and help us make a difference by placing their own call today at Motts.com.
While Feeding America currently feeds nine million of these children, many also rely on free or reduced price lunches at school during the week. However, getting food to an at-risk child on the weekends and during the summer remains a challenge, especially as many food banks experience a sharp decline in donations post-holiday season.
The Mott’s Wake-Up Call program has a goal of helping to raise awareness for the issue of hunger, providing meals to children and families who need them and encouraging food bank donations during the important spring and summer months. For constant updates from Motts visit their twitter page or the official Mott’s site.

Mott’s reminds me of my boys when they were really young. I miss those days. Children always teach you what love really means. They change your life forever.

As a kid, one of my favorite dinner meals was “pork chops and Motts Apple Sauce” – we’d always say it just like Peter Brady (Brady Bunch episode reference). I still have to have my Motts, any time we make pork chops.

Mott’s single serve is a favorite of my teenagers! It’s not only for little kids – but big kids too (including myself)!
Loving the Wake-up Call Campaign – thank you!

My favorite Mott’s Moment was my 4-year-old daughter’s 2nd birthday. For the entire previous year, she was absolutely obsessed with “Noss” (applesauce), so my parents gave her a huge case of every flavor of Motts applesauce they could find. Even though she had already opened a doll/stroller, tons of toys, books, clothes and other things, we all about fell over laughing our fool heads off when she went absolutely bonkers with excitement over her cases of Mott’s! We still laugh about it and I’m sure we will for years to come

I love the idea that Mott’s and Marcia Cross have teamed up. There is so much hunger in the Unites States that often goes undiscussed. This program will help feed kids who need it most. I sent a wake up call, I hope a lot of other people do to!
Thanks Motts!

We donate food goods on a regular basis to the local violence shelter, and a little boy was there with his mother, carefully eyeing the food to see if there could possibly be a “kid-friendly” food item there. He spotted the pack of mini Motts applesauces and his face lit up as he pointed and shouted, “Look Mom! just like the commercials!” I will always smile when I see Motts from now on! It really is a Mom approved snack that is also kid approved!

I will always remember Mott’s for getting through tough times. When I was little and my mom was going through a divorce, we shared Mott’s apple sauce. She was crying and I asked her if I could get her some apple sauce to make her feel better. She started laughing and we enjoyed our treat together. It made us both feel better.

I use Motts in our brownie recipe to replace the oil and make them healthier for my kids and us adults alike. They taste 100% identical to the recipe on the box AND it’s not as messy as baking with oil.
You can actually use it to sub for oil in any baked recipe and you use it 1:1, so the amount of Motts Applesauce is the same as the amount of oil you would have used.
Who couldn’t use more fruit anyway?

I do not know what I would do if could not include Mott’s Apple sauce in my girls’ lunches each day. They really save me and the girls love them!
I am also happy to have found a cahrity that my kids will really be interested as not wasting food is a big topic for us and I beleive this charity will be a win-win to be involved.

When my oldest was little he was a super picky eater and Mott’s applesauce was one of the only things he would eat happily and almost 4 years later it is still one of his favorite treats!
Happy Mother’s Day to everyone!

To me, Mott’s means comfort. I was very sick and I couldn’t eat a thing. So my hubby bought some Mott’s applesauce for me and it was the only thing that would stay down. He also got me apple juice and it helped me regain my strength and made me feel so much better. To this day, I keep Mott’s juice and applecauce in my pantry to help me feel better.

My favorite is recently actually. My little 10 month old will not eat anything, we gave him some Mott’s, (just opened it up and put it in front of him) and he picked up the cup and started licking it. Soon it was everywhere! But at least he was eating!

Mott’s cinnamon applesauce is my 5yr old daughter and three year old’s sons favorite. Let me tell you, if I buy the generic brand, or without cinnamon they will be the first to tell you this is not Mott’s or this is without cinnamon. It is soo cute but they know hwo to get mommy and they know what the good stuff is. I buy two of the 8pk of applesauce at least once a week for them. I normally get the large jar for me. I think it is great what they are doing with the wake-up call campaign. I have always wanted to help the less unfortunate or just someone who needs a little extra. When I have the extra money or time, I will do what I can, Donate a dollar to breast cancer, throw change in someone’s cup. what ever I can. Thank you for the chance.

At one point, my 3 year old son kept asking for his “mot”, which I mistook as “mom”. But he was really asking for his Motts applesauce! Our kitchen’s always so stocked up with it that my 16 year daughter has even started eating it for breakfast!

Happy Mother’s Day! Has anyone every heard the phrase, “I love it so much I could bathe in it”? Well, apparently, so did my daughter! She is 2 and loves Motts Applesauce. However, she doesn’t like mom feeding it to her, she’d rather do it herself! While feeding her baby brother, I turned to notice she was covered in applesauce! She informed me she was “painting” her body and that her applesauce was her “best dinner ever”!
We also go through cases of Motts for Tots juice, all three flavors…that’s all they’ll drink but I feel ok with that since there’s 40% less sugar!
I think it’s wonderful that Motts has fed over 20,000 families…I plan on sending the $1 donation link to all my friends and family.
Keep up the great work Motts…We love ya!

My favorite Mott’s moment is the first time I fed my 8 month old Mott’s. He got this “wow that’s sweet” look on his face and then immediately opened his mouth for more. I can’t keep up with him – he’ll continuously open his mouth like a little bird to get more!

I have been feeding my son Mott’s applesauce since he was 6 months (he’s now 2). A few months ago, I bought him the Peach Medley applesauce and once he had a taste, I could tell he was surprised at the different taste. But his eyes opened really wide and he screams out, “MAMA – SOOOOOOO YUMMY!!!!” And from there, proceeded with this ongoing gibberish which included the words, mama, yummy, applesauce, everyday (in his lingo – errrreday). It was awesome to see he loved the product and was so excited over it! WOW!

When we go grocery shopping our last stop is in the cold drinks section. I let each of my kids pick out a drink for the ride home and I love the fact that they chose Mott’s Apple Juice instead of soda!

I am a soon to be mom but I work with children on a daily basis and I have worked with 1 year olds and its so cute when they get Motts applesauce for snack. They like to eat it with their hands and love to get it all over. Its quite a task to clean up but they just love applesauce and its so cute to watch them devour it. Its one of my favorite moments working with kids!

My son eats applesauce everyday and loves it. He has one in his lunch for daycare and another for dessert after dinner. He literally can’t get enough. Also he goes to My-Gym and this weekend, Mott’s had donated the ball pit apples that every kid was walking around with – all the parents thought they were genius!

When my boys were little. I always made sure that I have the Mott’s apple sauce in my refrigerator for their snacks after school or for their deserts which was their favorites. They enjoyed very much. And to this day, I still buy Mott’s for myself.

I have many favorite recipes that use Mott’s. In most of my quick breads and muffins I replace the oil with Mott’s applesauce. It not only reduced the fat in my recipes while keeping the baked goods moist, it also adds some fiber and nutrients to our treats. Every yummy baked good using Mott’s helps creat a Mott’s moment!

My favorite Mott’s moment is when my children, and me too, have Mott’s applesause as an after school snack. I have 4 children, ages 3 to 15. We need this special time to talk about their school day and just be together. Then it’s on to homework, sports, activities, and on and on and on. Blessings to all the mothers who read this for their mother’s day.
