Update: So many of you young actors have replied and asked questions about this post, so here’s an update.  The Atlanta casting is at the 14th Street Playhouse, 173 14 Street in Atlanta 9 am to 12 pm. for ages 12-18 tomorrow, January 23, 2010. All children MUST be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. Bring a photo. Snapshots are okay.

There are more open calls coming, so if you don’t live near Atlanta, don’t panic. The next Nickelodeon Open Casting Calls will be held in Miami, Florida and in Austin, Texas. No dates are available yet. We’ll post more information as we get it. Yep. You read this correctly. Nickelodeon is holding an open call audition/ casting call for children & teens, ages 12 to 18, in the city of Atlanta, Georgia on January 23, 2010. I can only imagine how many young acting hopefuls are going to show up and what a mad house this promises to be, so go prepared for the audition and for a long, crowded wait.  Some tried and true cattle call tips: Arrive well in advance; Bring ample supplies of water and snacks; Bring a change of clothes, coat and umbrella if necessary; Don’t forget your cell phone; bring a good book; a lawn chair and make sure you have enough change for pay street parking for at least several hours, if applicable.     No, you are not required to have acting ecperience; however, many people with experience will be auditioning. Practice, practice, practice before you go to any audition. =)

    HI GUYS. IM 12 YEARS OLD ALMOST 13 ON MAY 14. AND I WANT TO TELL YOU THAT I AM REALLY EXPERIENCED WITH ACTING. I WENT TO AN ACTING CLASS WITH MRS.     the nick auditions in Austin have been postponed! I have from received this info from a reply email from opencall@nick.com
    The miami audition time for check in is from 9-12. The audition material will be given to you. The auditions in miami will be located at Double Tree Miami Mart Airport Hotel. This hotel’s address is 711 NW 72nd Avenue Miami, FL 33126.
    This audition in miami will be on Saturday February 27th 2010.

    “If” you do have head shots, then you should bring them. If you do not have head shots, bring a couple of good snap shots with you. If you have a resume, bring it.     Just found your blog and LOVE it…lots of good information…My daughter and I spent all summer of 09 in NYC and she did a number of modeling jobs…Children’s place, toys r us, and parent child magazine…We are planning on attending this casting call…and super excited about it…
