Could it be “The Hangover” won the 2010 Golden Globe for Best Comedy because my darling daughter Jordan played a flower girl in the climatic wedding scene? Or because baby Tyler was wearing my clothing company’s Big Foot onesie? OK, maybe that’s all a stretch but I don’t think either elements hurt. Congratulations to Todd, the producers, my hubby, all the crew and the amazing comedic actors that made this film an instant classic.  And congratulations also to family friend and my former employer Sandra Bullock for long overdue recognition in the Best Actress category (you’ve come a long way from “the girl on the bus” Sandy!) and of course mad props to Jordan’s Uncle Freaky (aka Robert Downey Jr.) for his not so surprising win for Sherlock Holmes.

Babies, Tigers and Chickens – Oh My!  The kid who made me a “Hollywood Mom” has her first feature film debut nationwide today: The Warner Brother’s Vegas comedy,  “The Hangover.”

the-hangover-one-sheetKids fare? Ah, not by a long shot.  My child actor may have been in the film but she won’t get to view it for at least another 8 years.  It’s a raunchy bro-fest comedy, complete with both illicit and illegal activities:  gambling, drinking, drugs, elevator sex, counting cards, kidnapping, theft, thugs, shot-gun weddings, a “missing” man and a “found” infant.  Actually reminds me of a night back with the crazies at Capistrano Valley High School and more than one night at East Carolina University in the mid 80′s.  But I digress.

See it, laugh, have a good time and be on the lookout for the tall flower girl with the long brown hair, the star of this Hollywood Mom’s life, Jordan Bobbitt.

the-hangover-one-sheetI sincerely espouse the philosophy that as Momagers, the entertainment business needs to be all about our kids and their experiences whether they’re stars, working actors or newbies just getting started in the business.   However, as a business person, brand advocate and a full-fledged marketing ho, I’m throwing that philosophy completely aside for the day.

If you’ve ever visited our sister site, CribRockCouture.com, which is the clothing brand I founded in 2005, you’ve probably read that the Crib Rock boys line “Legends” is being featured in the Warner Brother’s comedy, “The Hangover, lovingly described by one pre-screening critic as “Three Men and a Baby on Crack.”

According to the early buzz, this buddy flick promises to be the comedy hit of summer 2009.   And as if it wasn’t amazing enough to have the baby/child star wearing a Crib Rock design throughout an entire major motion picture (a first for me as a Brand Placement guru and for Crib Rock as a brand) today I just experienced yet another *first.*  Crib Rock’s Big Foot onesie/baby snappie made the filpping one sheet – THE MOVIE POSTER, THE BILLBOARDS, the whole shebang.   So please excuse me  just for today (and the entire day June 5 when the movie opens) while this momager relishes in her Hollywood Moment too.  So yeah, my husband worked on this film too and yes, my daughter got her SAG card and her first *Studio Movie* screen time with “The Hangover” as Flower Girl #1, but just for a moment, couldn’t this be about ME?baby-carlos
