Texas kids ages 10-18 years old, this is your opportunity to audition for representatives casting your favorite shows on the Disney Channel and Disney XD. Open call auditions will take place on June 4, at the OMNI Hotel in downtown Austin.Get your application here! This only happens about once a year so pack up your bags and drive on over. Or better yet, check in a day early and make a mini vacation get-away out of it all. This Omni Hotel looks gorgeous!
@Leighann How did the audition go? How many people were in attendance do you think? What was the primary age range?

I haven’t heard anything while in the waiting area I exchanged email address/Facebook info with a couple of the other mothers that had call backs but no word for them either.

Anybody know if they’ll be doing these in other places? I don’t understand why they would go to Texas and not other big named cities like New York or DC?

I agree with Amber after driving from Burleson Texas to Austin (4hours) we stood in line for hours it was hundreds of people there the lines were coming out of the hotel and going around the building, although we didn’t get a call back it was a learning experience! Make sure you bring your patience… you’ll need them.

I went last year and the line was UNBELIEVABLE to say the least! If they like your child you’ll get a second interview the next day and a different monologue to read after coming back the next day we never heard from them again!!!
@Julie – No one can guarantee your child will be seen but you can increase your chances greatly by arriving the day before, staying at the OMNI, then getting in line as early as possible. If you have 2 adults you might even want one adult to wait in line while the kids relax with the other adult – that way they’ll be as relaxed and fresh as possible when they walk in the door to audition. =) Good luck!

Do they see everyone? We live in Missouri and I would hate to drive all that way for them to say they can’t see him.
