Celebrity mom (and former child actor) Jessica Alba hosts this perfectly presented video fashion show for Ralph Lauren Girls Fall 2013. The video runway setting is very RL – a rustic stable lined with beautiful kids and their equally beautiful moms, watching attentively as each new child model struts across the hay strewn barn floor in the RL ensembles.
The child models primarily range in age from 9 – 12 years old with olive-skinned, long-haired brunettes dominating the runway.
This season’s fashions showcase a multitude of mix and match pieces in a wide variety of textured fabrics, artfully layered. Knits, tweeds, animal prints, and vintage florals dominate with solids in classic kelly green, camel, denim, pumpkin, navy and eggplant. As with all of Ralph Lauren’s fall looks, the ensembles are inspired by the romance of equestrian life. The girls wore hats and caps over pig tails and messy curls.
All in all, a lovely, age-appropriate show for young models.
