Are you a wanna be “Broadway Baby” who’s stuck in Los Angeles? Good news! If you’re 9 to 14 years old, no taller than 5 feet and you’ve got talent to spare, then you may be able to perform on stage at the historic Pantages Theater in Hollywood, California. That’s right kids, auditions are being held online via tape submission for “Whos” in Dr. Seuss’ “How The Grinch Stole Christmas!” Musical version debuting at Hollywood’s Pantages Theater this holiday season! So ask yourself, “Do you have what it takes to be a “Who’?”
Again, the application deadline is this Friday. All tape submissions must be received no later than 5:00 PM PST on Friday, September 25, 2009. Finalists will be selected to audition on a scheduled TV broadcast of Fox television’s “Good Day LA.” The winner will be selected on Monday morning October 5, live on air!!
This is a paying gig folks and if you’re chosen be prepared to be in the Los Angeles, California area full-time from Sunday, October 4, 2009 through Sunday, January 3, 2010.
On Sunday & Monday, October 4-5, you will be required to attend rehearsals and the live audition. Applicants will be given very short notice to arrive in Los Angeles if selected to be in the cast and will be needed for preparatory appointments between Tuesday, October 6, through Sunday, October 11. Additionally cast members must be available to the production from October 12, 2009 through January 3, 2010 and reside in Los Angeles or the vicinity of, during this time.
Lastly, if selected as a cast member you’ll be required to enter into an Actors Equity Association contract with the production, and will likely be required to become a member of Actors Equity Association.
