Child Actors Social Media Cyber Safety: a Cyber Safety Conversation Open to ALL! Hollywood Moms and Dads Please Plan to Attend!

The Actors Fund Looking Ahead Program and SAG-AFTRA Foundation will explore the role of parents and young performer’s  in navigating agents, PR and casting directors in relationship to social media. Some of the topics include how parents determine boundaries, the role of social media when hiring actors, and determining when it’s too much when it comes to young performers using social media for their careers. Please be sure to clear your calendar and attend this panel – to learn about the trends in social media and the impact social media has on a young performer’s career and life.

I was honored to be asked to speak on this panel but my life living “on location” in Atlanta prevented presenting this time.  Like many of you, I have strong opinions on the recent explosion of social media in the casting process and personal experiences with both the negative and positive aspects of social media in today’s world.  I’ll be with them in spirit and commenting on the live feed!

Panelists include:
Howard Meltzer, Casting Director
Cindy Osbrink, Osbrink Agency

Angela Williams, Mom of Child Actors and Author
