   Hello! My daughter recently signed with two agencies here in Florida, Benz and Azuree. She doesn’t have any professional experiencs, only drama lessons and school productions. She’s very good and we were very excited that she was accepted at the agencies.

   My question is, how does she get into the big leagues? Both agencies have said she has the “look” and the talent, but how does she land the bigger productions, such as in NY or LA?

   Can you suggest top agents in Atlanta? My son is 12 years old and has been taking classes in our area. He too would like to get in the buisness. We visited Hollywood in Jan before finding this site. Now we have to come back because he is hooked. I have submitted his resume and photos on Casting Now and IMDb. Any suggestions you can offer would be much appreciated.

   Great comments. Editors notes on Aftra agencies only listed agencies which AFTRA reports as representing children. As always calling ahead and doing leg work is essential. If anyone working in either the Miami or Orlando markets has information on quality agencies, please submit to HMB using contact form.

   Great post but make sure one thing. More about the Market.
   To sign with any Miami agency you must be with in 2 hours of it in either direction. No exceptions. They do alot of day notice work there and they don’t want to fool with people that are not close enough. Call and check contacts on Second list of Aftra agencies. I know several are no longer in business or do not really have a childs division.

   Orlando is not a huge hub for work for children as far as actually an agency. You actually get more work from Miami and sent to Orlando than to book out of Orlando directly.
   One exception is Premier Models New Symrna Beach.

   GREAT topic…a couple of notes:

   Orlando is central Florida. The agencies in Miami would be about 4 hours away from Laura.

   South Florida and central Florida are very different markets. They boutique agencies may have completely different focuses. It would be worth inquiring with the agency via phone before submitting materials.
