Holly Greenhow, 7, is the newest child model for Boden’s latest children’s wear campaign and she’s destined to garner a great deal of attention because not only is she an adorable little girl, with a blonde bob and bright blue eyes but she’s inspirational – the perfect example of overcoming challenges. Holly was born with Athetoid Cerebral Palsy as the result of prolonged oxygen loss at birth which affects her movement, balance and speech.
Holly and her mother Fiona, of Cambridgeshire, England, answered a casting call for Boden earlier this year and Holly was a clear stand out.
‘There are lots of things she can’t do and will never be able to do because of her disabilities, so it was really nice for her to have this experience,” Fiona told the Daily Mail, “I hope it will help the image of disabled children and also open people’s eyes to the fact there are lots of children out there who aren’t perfect.”
And what does the future hold for Holly?
Fiona hopes that Holly will have more modeling opportunities, like adorable child model Seb White (who has Down’s Syndrome) and modeled in Marks & Spencer’s 2012 Christmas campaign (picture below).
