It’s inspiring to see former franchise child stars making smart career choices like Alexa Vega and Daniel Radcliffe.

Former “Spy Kids” Child Star Alexa Vega, 25, has been cast as a member of “ULTRA” on The CW’s “The Tomorrow People.”  Alexa will play Hillary Cole: “a ruthless, paranormal version of Tracy Flick” who will rival Stephen (played by Robbie Amell) for his place as an agent.

Former child star of the “Harry Potter” franchise Daniel Radcliffe, 24, has won the role of British Olympic runner Sebastian Coe in a new biopic, “Gold,” according to Variety. This project reunites him with “Woman in Black” director James Watkins.  Gold chronicles the rivalry and dominance of Coe and fellow runner Steve Ovett, who reigned supreme in the 1970’s “Golden Era” of British athletics and whose rivalry culminated at the 1980 Moscow Olympics.

Radcliffe can currently be seen in “Kill Your Darlings” and soon in romantic comedy “The F Word” as well as supernatural thriller “Horns.”
