I don’t think there’s an actress whose style is more hit or miss for me than Chloe Grace Moretz. She’s an amazing young woman and one of the most talented and sought-after young actresses today, but her red carpet looks either “wow me” or leave me thinking, “huh?” Last week the 17 year old was busy at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) promoting her newest film “The Equalizer,” and she has clearly been having fun with different looks at her appearances. Below are two very different but equally fabulous looks.

I absolutely love this! Love, love, love this! Chloe wore this stunning Dior Couture dress from the Spring 2014 Collection for the premiere of the film on September 7th. This might be one of my favorite looks of hers. The grey/blue silk dress would have been lovely on its own, but the circular cut-outs on the side detail add some fun visual interest and reflects her fashion personality. I love how her hair was styled to have an asymmetrical twist to reflect her dress and her makeup was smoky but not dramatic. Now, apparently Chloe suffered a wardrobe malfunction just before she stepped out to promote the film. She told ET Canada that she was literally sewn into the dress. Yikes! You would have never known.

Chloe opted for a sleek, edgier ensemble for the Warner Bros. Pictures and Dolce & Gabbana TIFF cocktail party on September 6th. She wore an Emporio Armani blazer, Saint Laurent leather pants with studded detail, and strappy Christian Louboutin heels (cute bow detail on the ankle strap). She kept her blonde locks in loose curls and added some wow with red lips (as if her pants weren’t wow enough). I know I’m double her age, but I would totally wear this! Time for a budget-friendly inspiration!

The Equalizer is an action thriller also starring Denzel Washington, Bill Pullman and Melissa Leo, and is set for nation-wide release on September 26th.
