On Saturday June 14, Relativity Studios premiered the upcoming family adventure movie, EARTH TO ECHO at the Los Angeles Film Festival.
Teen stars Teo Halm, Brian “Astro” Bradley, Reese Hartwig and Ella Linnea Wahlestedt walked the red carpet along with director Dave Green and other special guests. EARTH TO ECHO opens in theaters nationwide on July 2nd!
Hollywood Mom Blog was able to attend a private screening of Earth to Echo last week and WOWZA! Simply put, Earth to Echo is an instant family film classic. Talented scribes Henry Gayden and Andrew Panay create a believable and entertaining world inhabited by real kids with real kid personality and dialogue – not just an adult’s idea of what a real kid is. The story is relevant to today’s world yet through the adept direction of first time feature director David Green the film achieves a nostalgic quality that will draw inevitable comparisons to E.T. and Stand By Me. I believe this is exactly the film J.J. Abrams was hoping Super 8 would be. Bravo Ryan Kavanaugh and Relativity Media – you have a HUGE HIT on your hands. Even if it doesn’t win the box office weekend this movie is going to have legs on TV and cable for the next decade. The cast (who seemingly came out of nowhere) are the perfect foursome and HMB applauds the fact that they are all actually KIDS, not 22 year olds trying to recapture youthful innocence. We will be watching talented young actors Reese Hartwig, Brian “Astro” Bradley, Ella Linnea Wahlestedt and Teo Halm for many years to come.

In Relativity Media’s PG summer family adventure movie, EARTH TO ECHO, Tuck (Brian “Astro” Bradley), Munch (Reese Hartwig) and Alex (Teo Halm), are a trio of inseparable friends whose lives are about to change. Their neighborhood is being destroyed by a highway construction project that is forcing their families to move away. But just two days before they must part ways, the boys begin receiving a strange series of signals on their phones. Convinced something bigger is going on, they team up with another school friend, Emma (Ella Linnea Wahlestedt), and set out to look for the source of their phone signals. What they discover is something beyond their wildest imaginations: a small alien who has become stranded on Earth. In need of their help, the four friends come together to protect the alien and help him find his way home. This journey, full of wonder and adventure, is their story, and their secret.
