Disney XD has added another pilot to an ever-expanding development slate. The boy-friendly, kids cable channel has ordered Pack of Wolves, a multi-camera, half hour comedy from writer Jason Ward (Living with Fran). Ward with Jay Kogen (Frasier) are executive producing the project with It’s a Laugh Productions.

The storyline revolves around the three Oppenheimer brothers: Edison, Darwin, and Albert, who are being raised by their single dad, a mousy, middle-aged man who happens to be a brilliant professor and likes naming his kids after other brilliant men of note.  Hilarity ensues when Poppa Opppenheimer rents the extra family bedroom to a CIA Agent on the run called Timberwolf (aka the Wolf), who’s looking for a place to hide out. The Wolf proceeds to teach the O boys how to apply “light” spy tactics to their teen lives in the suburbs. Read eavesdropping not water boarding.

Disney XD has been relying primarily on sitcom vets for its development, handing out a series order to multi-camera comedy Wasabi Warriors created by Jim O’Doherty (Grounded for Life). And back in May, they ordered a comedy pilot from That ’70s Show alum Mark Brazill, Chris Peterson and Bryan Moore.

All of the series regulars are being cast including Mr. Oppenheimer. The Oppenheimer siblings are between the ages of 8 and 14, and Timber Wolf the CIA agent is a handsome young adult male. Casting directors are accepting submissions from talent of any ethnicity.  Shooting will commence early February, 2011 in Los Angeles under AFTRA contract.
