Lifetime is launching the all-new unscripted series America’s Supernanny, marking the first true U.S. version of the hit global format that will feature an American homegrown nanny. The producers of America’s SuperNanny are searching the country to find a dynamic, caring and credentialed woman to star in the new series.

If you’re a nanny, a teacher, a parenting coach, a child psychologist or another type of viable family specialist, apply by emailing nannysearch@shedmediaus.com with a completed application, photo & resume.

The deadline to apply is Aug. 30th. Applications can be found at www.shedmediaus.com or by clicking on this link.

FAMILIES needing the help of “America’s Supernanny”, email Supernanny@shedmediaus.comor or call 877-NANNY-TIME.

ABOUT:

No family issue should be too trivial or intimidating for America’s Supernanny, who will visit the homes of parents throughout the country seeking guidance and assistance on how to best raise their children. Diving straight into the chaos and heart of the matter, America’s Supernanny will give viewers an all-access look at troubled households by closely observing each family dynamic to pinpoint their complicated problems – ranging from extremely intense tantrums and constant timeouts to bad habits and misguided parenting – and follow through to resolve their issues to put families on the road to happiness.

“The importance of family and childcare is key to women and we are constantly looking to provide programming that involves what’s important to them,” said Dubuc. “This program will do just that and showcase America’s Supernanny’s approach and experience to not only entertain parents and their children, but also help them work through any problems they might have.”

“Shed Media US is thrilled to work with Lifetime on re-launching our successful brand with a fresh, new, American nanny,” said Nick Emmerson, President of Shed Media US.

Lifetime has ordered eight one-hour episodes of America’s Supernanny, which will be produced by Shed Media U.S. by Nick Emmerson and Stephanie Schwam, with Rob Sharenow, Gena McCarthy and Jim Rapsas of Lifetime executive producing.

A global hit, Supernanny has been formatted throughout the world, including Belgium, Brazil, China, France, Greece, Holland, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Germany, Malaysia, Romania, Singapore, Spain and Sweden.

Hollywood has come to Taylor, Texas! Boys and girls in the 6-8 year old range from Taylor and surrounding areas are welcome to an open casting call  for a family-oriented feature film. The open casting call will be held from Sunday, June 26, 2011, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at El Corral Lozano restaurant, located at 300 W. Second St. in Taylor.

Vicky Boone of Vicky Boone Casting, will be conducting the casting call for Sycamore Pictures which is looking for area boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 8 to play important roles in an upcoming film.

According to Boone, “Most of the filming will be done in Central Texas. We like to go to smaller towns [sic] to look for kids because they seem to be more active and full of life, which is what we are looking for.”

The ideal candidates for the boy roles are those who are imaginative and spirited, while the girls they seek are those who have an ethereal quality to them. No acting experience is necessary.

Vicky Boone Casting, located in Austin, TX, has done a number of casting calls in the Central Texas area.

“I just did one for The Road several weeks ago and about 600 people showed up,” she said. “We usually have a pretty good turnout, which is good. We want to provide production teams with a lot of choices.”

For more information about the casting call, contact Boone at vicky@vickyboonecasting.com

Director Alejandro Gomez Monteverdewith wife Ali Landry

Los Angeles based Metanoia Films is seeking a child actor for the lead role of  PEPPER FLYNT BUSBEE aka Little Boy for the Independent Feature Film, “LITTLE BOY.”

LITTLE BOY (aka PEPPER FLYNT BUSBEE) CAUCASIAN, 6 – 10 years old AND NO TALLER THAN 4’0″ feet

Pepper  is extremely small for his age, and thus bullied and treated cruelly by the larger boys his age, who call him Little Boy. Protected by his family, his life changes drastically when his father heads off to the Pacific to fight for his country in WWII. The country is going through a period of racist propaganda attacks on the Japanese and Germans. Hoping to bring home their father, and blaming the only Japanese left in town, Little Boy and London vent their anger by setting fire to Mr. Hashimoto’s Lawn. Their little prank, doesn’tgo unpunished. Ordered to make restitution by their mother and Father Oliver, little boy is given a list of chores. Soon enough he begins to see Hashimoto-san as a caring person, and not a “dreaded Jap.”

Encouraged by Mandrake the Magician, and convinced by Father Oliver, Little Boy tries to use his faith and “psychic” powers to “move mountains” and bring his father home. This must be a very exceptional child, as the film rest on his shoulders…LEAD (1)

STORY LINE: In an idyllic Norman Rockwell world of the 1940′s in Northern California, life is turned upside-down when men go off to fight in WW II, women are left to cope, trying to hold families together, making do with less, and without their fathers around, children start to act out their anxiety. PEPPER, is most affected because he is constantly teased and bullied due to his small size. He learns how to have faith, and become a better and bigger person…
