It’s been a CRAY CRAY week at Hollywood Mom Blog thanks to the overly-sexualized antics of Miley Cyrus, the sage words of Kate Conner and the power of Facebook.

Following the 2013 VMA’s, which I watched highlights of via You Tube on Monday morning, I witnessed the televised transformation of a once squeaky clean Disney Star into what most Hollywood Moms are calling an utter disappointment if not complete tragedy.  Even Robin Thicke’s Hollywood Mom Gloria Loring is perplexed by it all.

“I don’t understand what Miley Cyrus is trying to do,” Loring told OMG Insider. “I just keep thinking of her mother and father watching this.”

But that’s show biz right folks?

As Miley is a not-so-former-child-actor, a response from Hollywood Mom Blog seemed in order. We try not to bash or condemn anyone on this website and leave judgement of her performance to others. Instead what we felt was called for were uplifting words for our teen and tween daughters who may have been influenced by the performance, and author Kate Conner fit the bill.

As a result of this uplifting post, Hollywood Mom Blog’s traffic literally exploded.

Our site has even crashed several times due to overcapacity.

Again, Thank you.

In less than 48 hours the “Miley versus Kate” post has garnered more than 325,000 facebook views, more than 400k page views, nearly 4,000 facebook shares, comments galore and drove an additional 200,000 readers to Hollywood Mom Blog…all in 2 days.

Thank you, thank you, thank you – It’s enough to make a Hollywood Mom twerk with Joy.

Yeah, not really.  We’ll continue to keep it classy, provide you with the best content possible and even do a few site upgrades courtesy of DaveWorks.net.

Stay tuned!
