Having a confident smile is important at any age, even more so when you grow up in the spotlight. And with fans able to interact with celebrities through photos and video on Facebook and Twitter, many feel the need to be close-up ready at any moment.

To ensure a picture perfect smile, many young stars today are turning to modern new options that straighten their teeth without most people knowing they’re in treatment because the braces are nearly invisible. Gone are the days when straightening teeth means you have to wear metal braces and deal with all the challenges associated with them.

“Today patients have a variety of choices, including Invisalign which is a clear and removable option,” said orthodontist Dr. Gilbert Snow of Snow Orthodontics who treats a number of young celebrities as part of the Invisalign studio program at his offices in Southern California.

From child actor Jimmy Bennett, who just celebrated his “Rockin’ 16th birthday” with an Invisalign Teen sponsored party at the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood, to budding 12 year-old film star Bailee Madison, Zendaya Coleman from Disney’s hit television show “Shake It Up,” and Cameron Quiseng from the band Allstar Weekend, Dr. Snow has treated these celebrities and many others with Invisalign to help them achieve their great smiles.

Invisible braces are immensely appealing to young people whose image is their livelihood.  According to Dr. Snow, Invisalign is a nearly invisible alternative to traditional wire and bracket braces in which a series of clear aligners move the teeth gradually over time. And unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign is removable for eating, brushing and flossing, which leads to better oral hygiene during treatment.

But Invisalign isn’t just for celebrities; treatment is affordable and widely available through a network of preferred providers.

“I find that many of my patients want to achieve their own Hollywood smile and, like the celebrities they admire, are looking for a way to straighten their teeth while maintaining their lifestyle and confidence during treatment,” said Dr. Snow.

According to Jimmy Bennett, “I chose Invisalign because if I were to get braces it would kind of interfere with my singing and acting career, so I decided clear would be the best choice.”

“Invisible braces are for any active kid nowadays, whether competing in sports, performing on stage or video chatting with your friends. For me Invisalign has been a non-painful, non-interfering treatment.” – Bailee Madison
